Radiation Science 3 - Treatment Planning II

In this course, the learner will explore new technologies and techniques used to improve the treatment outcomes for cancer patients. The learner will increasingly apply radiation biology, oncology and imaging principles as they explore planning using newer techniques and how they differ from the traditional planning techniques. Topics include Imaging for 3D, IMRT, and Brachytherapy planning. The learners will also have hands-on activities in labs to consolidate their learning. PREREQ: RADS 3006, RADS 3106, RADS 3206, RADS 3416. COREQ: RADS 3126, RADS 3207. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both RADS 3107 and RADS 3105.
