Comparative Employment Relations
This course covers the political economy of employment relations. It examines how and why the institutions of collective bargaining, labour-management consultation, employment standards, and vocational training have developed differently across countries. The course also analyzes how economic globalization impacts national employment relations systems, and how Canada's regulation of work and industrial relations system compares to other countries. Sem. 3cr. Prerequisites: 18 credits of Labour Studies or permission of the department.
