Teaching in Post-Secondary Institutions: Theory

This course provides the fundamental concepts and theories of education with emphasis on the shift in the design and implementation of curricula from what needs to be taught (learning objectives) to what needs to be learned (learning outcomes). The role of technology in the learning process for all levels of education and instructors is explored. Finally, the foundational academic skills required to teach in a university setting are introduced on-line and as face-to-face sessions. (3cr)
